When my last home sparked a bidding war on the first day of viewings, I decided to turn my love of interiors into my next career. I'd created somewhere three sets of buyers wanted so much that they all offered the asking price!
I'VE BEEN THERE . . .
It was very different to the stress of my previous move. I can now see there were simple things I could have done – if only I’d known how – to boost viewings and offers. It's that experience that drives me to ensure my clients' homes looks the best they can, whatever the property size or budget. Some of my suggestions don't cost a penny.
I studied interior design and home staging around working as a magazine writer and became a professional home stager, organiser and interior stylist in 2019. I love what I do and get a real buzz when a property goes under offer, and witnessing the weight lift from a client’s shoulders as we tackle their clutter. If that sounds good I'd love to hear from you.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS COUNT
Home staging's widespread in the USA, Scandinavia and parts of Europe, and until it really catches on here those who invest can't help but stand out from the crowd (check out the UK staging facts & figures here).
I continue to write about interiors, home staging and decluttering and have featured in Livingetc, Ideal Home, House Beautiful, Woman & Home, Sussex Prestige, Absolutely Sussex, 365 Magazine, The Brighton Argus and BN5 Magazine. Home is a cottage in the Sussex village of Henfield, near Brighton.
