Why stage your home?Only 10% of buyers are able to visualise a property's potential. If you want yours to be one that sells them the lifestyle they're after, staging is the answer. Home staging isn't just about making rooms look attractive, it's a powerful marketing tool that makes properties more appealing to buyers - boosting viewings and offers. I'll give you lots of simple, cost-effective ideas that pack a punch and ultimately how much you decide to invest is up to you. Some of my ideas won't cost you a penny.
-
I'm already on the market, is it too late to stage my home? It's never too late! The investment in home staging will always be a fraction of any price reduction you're considering. Why not find out what home staging could do for your sale before dropping your asking price?
-
Is it worth staging small flats and houses?Absolutely! I've had successes with all sizes and tupes of property and believe every home can benefit from home staging and styling. To keep prices fair I tailor my home staging consultation pricing to the size of property: obviously larger houses take longer to look around and tend to have more outside space.

Where in Sussex do you cover?I'm based near Brighton & Hove and cover East Sussex, Mid Sussex and West Sussex. Listed below are the main areas I visit but I'm happy to travel further afield if my schedule allows. Online staging and decluttering consultations are also available if you'd prefer this way of working together, or the property is outside the county. Brighton & Hove, Burgess Hill, Cowfold, Cuckfield, Ditchling, Findon, Fulking, Hassocks, Haywards Heath, Henfield, Horsham, Hurstpierpoint, Keymer, Lancing, Lewes, Partridge Green, Portslade, Poynings, Shermanbury, Shoreham, Small Dole, Shoreham, Southwick, Steyning, Storrington, Upper Beeding, Woodmancote, Worthing.

How does remote home staging work?I've always offered remote home staging consultations and work with people living across the UK, both inside and outside Sussex. If you're selling, I'll just need to see some photos or a short video in advance. If you're already on the market your Rightmove link is a great start. These can be emailed or sent over by WhatsApp. We can then go through everything via email, or on a phone or video call - the choice is yours.

I'm thinking of having a go myself . . .Yes of course this is possible and many people do as the word spreads. As a professional home stager, I've been trained to create that all-important emotional connection and lifestyle that hooks buyers in, which isn't as easy as it looks! I'm extremely tactful in explaining why certain things may not appeal to your buyers. Home staging isn't about criticising your taste or possessions but creating somewhere that more people are likely to fall for. During your home staging consultation I point out the areas you needn't worry about splashing out on too, which can easily save the cost of my fee. Some clients have saved thousands of pounds and a lot of stress and upheaval. If you're in Sussex and need some more help you can book me to come back. If you do decide to go it yourself, ask friends and family for their honest feedback. It can be hard to look at your home with a fresh pair of eyes, especially if you've lived there for a while. Concentrate your efforts especially on the exterior and entrance and key rooms that will be photographed At the very least I'd recommend you depersonalise, declutter and deep-clean everywhere before the marketing photographs are taken. Book an initial chat and I'll give you some more tips!

Does home staging guarantee a sale?No one can promise a quick sale because other factors come into the equation, like the asking price*, economic climate and location. Home staging will give you a better chance. Follow my recommendations and your property can't fail to grab the attention of buyers. Making a great first impression is what it's all about. * The asking price is for you and your estate agent to decide. Unless you're happy to wait and potentially have to reduce the price later, I'd recommend a realistic asking price teamed with great presentation and professional photography.
-
What if my property's empty?Strangely, empty properties often appear smaller than they really are. They can also feel cold and unloved. Buyers can find it much harder to visualise where their furniture will go in an empty property - and whether it will even fit. This can lead to fewer viewings and offers. If you're an estate agent, property developer or own a property that's empty or partially furnished, I can put you in touch with some excellent furniture rental companies. Get in touch and I can point you in the right direction.
-
I'd like to invest in some new accessories, can you help?I'll happily make general suggestions during our home staging consultation. If you're after something specific, I can help you source soft furnishings and accessories that are on-budget for an additional fee.
-
Do you work with holiday home and Airbnb owners?Yes I do! If you have a furnished property that needs a lick of paint, or need some new soft furnishings, styling or professional photography to add the wow factor, arrange a free call and we can go from there.

I've just moved to Sussex and need a hand unpacking, can you help?I'd love to help you settle into your new home. I can unpack, organise and style anything from kitchen cupboards, to a couple of rooms or the entire property. If you've brought too many things with you, I can help you prioritise what to keep and what to let go of. Get in touch to find out more.
