Let me show you how to create a warm, inviting property buyers can't resist. I'll reveal how to get your biggest asset looking its best so it achieves the best sale price possible – with the minimum upheaval, stress and investment

Jane Lee, Sussex, UK

  • 100% of estate agents say home staging [presenting properties so they appeal to more buyers] makes it easier for people to visualise the property as their future home

  • 94% agree that staging increases the number of viewings and 86% report that staged homes sell up to three times faster than non-staged ones

  • And 78% of agents confirm that staging boosts the offer value of a property

   Home Staging Association Report, 2019

"The house was extremely well presented, which made it stand out from a similar property, and the first two people to view both offered the asking price"

Nicola Bowler, senior negotiator, Foresters estate agents, Heathfield, East Sussex

Sticking up a For Sale board and hoping for the best doesn't cut it in today's property market: the brutal truth is that most buyers will click straight past if your home isn't up to scratch. The key to creating a buzz when you hit the market is great presentation teamed with a realistic price.

Follow my advice and your home will appeal to the widest range of buyers, selling them the space and lifestyle they're searching for before they've even arranged a viewing.

My staging & styling skills also work wonders on Airbnbs and holiday homes in need of some TLC.

Walk & talk design consultation

I can also provide thorough advice without visiting, by studying your photographs; you can read more in my TESTIMONIALS and also HERE

Starting with kerb appeal I'll view your property with buyers' eyes, inside and out. You'll learn which areas need reorganising and refreshing, along with those you don't need to splash out on – this alone could save you thousands of pounds, plus a lot of wasted time and stress.

My aim is always to keep costs down by making use of what you already own, where possible. I'll advise on layout, design and decluttering, and provide staging and styling tips. If your budget allows, I can suggest paint colours and smaller items to invest in, such as towels, cushions and bedding: simple switches that make a huge difference to the look and feel of a room and that you can take with you.

You can then decide if you'd like to tick off my suggestions yourself or book in some hands-on staging & styling, downsizing & decluttering support, and / or a professional photoshoot.

Hands-on staging & interior styling

This service follows on from our DESIGN CONSULTATION and ensures that everything on your checklist gets ticked off in time.

I can be as hands-on as you like, the choice is yours. Some people like me to help with everything; others want me to come back to carry out the final touches before the photos are taken. Whichever level you go for, I'll go through each area of every room, checking the final layout, design and styling details.

With 100% of estate agents agreeing that properties with professional photos get more viewings than those with poor-quality images (HSA Report, 2019), it's well worth considering. I know several interior photographers and offer combined style & shoot sessions.

  • Hands-on staging & styling: from £125

  • 'Maintain the look' visits between viewings: quoted per project

  • Style & shoot sessions: quoted per project

  • Styling for holiday lets and Airbnbs, from £125

Downsizing & decluttering support

  • Downsizing & decluttering sessions from £125

Crave more order in your life but can't seem to get going? Whether you want to sell, are downsizing or are happy where you are, I'll help you unleash your inner Marie Kondo with sensitive and non-judgemental support.

I will happily style your belongings as we progess (for no extra charge), and you might like to consider starting the packing process if you're moving.

Only 10% of buyers can see past years of accumulated possessions and clutter and visualise a home's potential. Having a good clearout makes your rooms more appealing, and far more relaxing to live in.

"When possessions threaten to take over, it is not only daily routines that suffer, but also our fundamental enjoyment of our homes"

New curtains and bedding were the only items bought after this cottage's spare room was decluttered

Decluttering and styling this kitchen makes it look and feel more attractive and used items that were already owned

When it's time to move, bright, uncluttered rooms attract more viewings and sell faster

My last home, in Brighton, was a major renovation project. It sold in a stagnant market after going to sealed bids after the first day of viewings

A rug softens the large expanse of floor in this master bedroom at the top of the house. The walls were repainted to make a feature of the sloping shape of the roof

Staging, decluttering and styling created a buzz around this 5-bed house which attracted two asking price offers from the first two viewings

I caught the interiors bug watching House Doctor in the late 1990s and loved how relatively simple, inexpensive updates transformed the look and feel of a room.

Inspired by meeting the show's presenter, Ann Maurice, on a mini staging course, I immersed myself in the interiors world, working on a variety of lifestyle and homes magazines while renovating and studying interior design, staging and styling in my spare time.

Before launching Jane Lee Interiors, I also enjoyed stints in a local estate agent's and interiors shop, so all in all I have a pretty unique insight into what needs doing to a property to get it to sell.

One of my recent projects, a five-bedroom house in East Sussex, attracted asking price offers from the first two viewings. The main image you see on my home page is this property's kitchen, the en suite features in the TRANSFORMATIONS section and I received a lovely TESTIMONIAL from the owners.

I live in a Sussex village near the South Downs, halfway between Brighton and Horsham. I genuinely enjoy what I do so if you're feeling uninspired, overwhelmed, or would just like to say hi, I'd love to hear from you.

Now you know a bit about me, I'd love to hear from you
